Amelia's News March 3, 2003

Amelia has moved on to eating Cheerios, Ritz crackers, animal crackers and other more solid foods in addition to her usual mashed baby food. She has learned how to spit undesired food out with a big splatter as she goes Plllll . . . with her tounge. Then she loves to finger paint with the new design all over her high chair. She is crawling all over the place now and loves to hold your hands and walk where ever you will take her. She thinks she is such a big girl.

After this sample of gerber teething biscuts, mom decided that her friends idea of Ritz crackers worked much better. They are much less messy, and Amelia likes them just as well.

Here we tried practicing drinking while "sitting up" to get use to the idea of a sippee cup. Looks like we will have to keep trying :-)

It looked like a good idea to crawl in here to get my rattle. Now, if I could only sit up to enjoy it!

Well, if you really want to know. I'll tell you what my honest opinion is. I truely belive more children would enjoy playing in the green grass here in Texas if it was softer and didn't feel like you were walking on dried weeds all the time. I there by propose, that Texans plant the soft grass mommy is always talking about that they grow up North.

After a long night of complaing about my first ear ache, I finally got to sleep in the big spare bed next to my crib. It was nice and even had a huge teddy bear for me.
