Amelia's News March 3, 2003

Before we get started with pictures of Amelia I just wanted to mention that last week we had a bad ice storm that closed down the city of Austin for about a day and a half. Last Monday night as I left a friends place I had to scrape about a quarter inch of ice off my car windows. I am including a photo to prove that occasionally, in Austin, Texas "got chilly" means something other than having had some spicy beans.

Now for Amelia. Yesterday Amelia thought it was all fun and games when mom excitedly clapped her hands when Amelia would sit down in the tub. Amelia decided that mom was clapping for her to stand up and then sit down. So stand up and sit down Amelia did. Until one time . . .

Amelia fell forward and smacked her eye on the side of the tub. Then the fun was over. . .

Monday night it sleeted and froze. Tuesday never went above 32 degree's. Wednesday took until around 1:00 p.m. to warm above 32 degree's.

Amelia went to Church Sunday with a slightly discolored bump on her left eyelid.

Amelia decided that she wouldn't hold it against us.

Drinking a nice warm bottle of milk is just the thing to soothe a person after going to the doctor and getting shots. Dr. Tache said to expect plenty more bruises as our little girl learns to walk.
